Suzuki S-Cross 2023 – The new Suzuki S-Cross, thanks to its proven 4×4 capabilities, is the perfect ally to get away from the big city and enjoy all kinds of adventures this spring. The Suzuki compact SUV also has an extraordinary mechanical proposal marked by hybrid technology. Efficiency, performance, and solvency are off-road.
The entry on the scene of the third-generation Suzuki S-Cross has not gone unnoticed. Suzuki’s popular compact SUV has undergone a comprehensive renovation. A generational change that consolidates it as one of the references in its competitive category. Especially in the field of SUVs with true 4×4 capabilities.
The new S-Cross, thanks to its design, technology, and mechanics, is the best ally with which to get away from the big city and enjoy outdoor leisure. An SUV with which to rediscover the spring carrying out an adventure in nature. The 4WD system is one of the main assets offered by the Japanese model whose exterior image exudes personality.
AllGrip technology for forays off the road
Once we have left behind the inclemencies of winter that we live annually in the Spanish territory, and we begin to enjoy truly spring days, the S-Cross is ready to make a weekend getaway and enjoy routes in rural environments. In its 4WD version, the new S-Cross is ready to face all kinds of challenges thanks to the AllGrip technology.
Suzuki’s AllGrip system provides the confidence and security needed to drive on dirt roads and face the challenges that may arise. This system has four modes (Auto, Sport, Snow and Lock) that are easily selectable through a rotary knob.
But we must not only keep in mind that the S-Cross is one of the few SUVs in its category that equips a true four-wheel drive system, but we must also add the ground clearance, which is 175 mm, and the numerous fenders that protect the bottom of the body and offer greater robustness.
The chassis, built-in high-strength steel, and a suspension system stubbornly configured to be able to leave the asphalt with guarantees, allow the third-generation S-Cross to stand out for its adventurous spirit.
Four-wheel drive and hybrid engine, the winning combination of the new Suzuki S-Cross.
If we take a look under the hood we will find another key determinant of the Suzuki model. And is that it bets without complexes by electrification. It is available exclusively with hybrid engines. However, it is possible to choose between different levels of electrification.
The access step to the S-Cross range with four-wheel drive is occupied by a 1.4-liter gasoline engine with 129 hp and 235 Nm of maximum torque. An electrified block with 48-volt light hybrid technology (MHEV) that can be associated with a manual or automatic gearbox, both with six speeds. With MHEV technology, the S-Cross has been awarded the DGT (Dirección General de Tráfico) ECO environmental badge, with all the mobility advantages that this entails.
At the top in terms of efficiency is Suzuki’s new Strong Hybrid technology. The new S-Cross also features a self-recharging hybrid (HEV) system. It features a 1.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine. It produces 116 hp and features a six-speed automatic transmission. Like the light hybrid model with SHVS technology, it carries the ECO label.
